Multidisciplinary product development in collaborative networks is a typical working condition for nowadays engineers. After describing the main deficits and dangers of such development situations a modelling approach using the Systems Modelling Language (SysML) is shown. The approach focuses on the generation of a requirements model as a basis for discussion and analysis of the real project aims. A short and simplified example from the field of parallel robots illustrates the approach.en_UK
