dc.description.abstractTwo plants are described which are designed for partial (or roughing) treatment of settled sewage, and settled sewage with dairy waste, and some of the lessons learned from these are described. These plants are ColOX units which is a trade name for a BAF using sunken mineral medium, normally operated in upflow mode.en_UK
