dc.description.abstract An integral part of the two week transport short course was a group project study by course members, applying material presented on the course to a practical problem in transport systems analysis. Airport location in Southern England was chosen as the example. The students were asked to put themselves in the position of a working party who had been given two weeks to prepare an initial paper for a Commission appointed to enquire into the location of a third London Airport.
