dc.description.abstract The use of remuneration consultants to advise on executive pay is ubiquitous amongst larger listed companies, and has attracted academics to consider how their work impacts upon the structure of pay plans. This paper adds to that literature, extending it by taking a qualitative approach and providing a rich context to the interaction between consultants, executives and remuneration committees. en_UK
